Millbrae Station Area Specific Plan (MSASP)
Overview
The City Council, in February 2016, approved an update to the Millbrae Station Area Specific Plan (MSASP) The Specific Plan guides future public improvements and private development in the Plan Area over the next 25 years. Associated with the Specific Plan update are General Plan and Zoning Ordinance Amendments which were also updated in order to be consistent with the MSASP.
The Millbrae Station (Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART/Caltrain Station) opened in June 2003. This transit center is a seamless hub blending local transit services including BART, Caltrain, SamTrans, Corporate shuttles, and a future High-Speed Rail station that connects riders to San Francisco, Silicon Valley, the entire Bay Area, and beyond. Additionally, the Millbrae Station is the only station with a global link for travelers through San Francisco Airport. The MSASP provides the vision and strategies to guide in the creation of Millbrae's new economic center, including vibrant, diverse, and sustainable transit-oriented developments at and around the station.
