City Council
Overview
Millbrae City Council is the governing body of the City. The City Council comprises five members elected by the voters of their respective City Council Districts for four-year terms.
As the legislative branch of our local government, the Council passes local laws and regulations, makes final decisions on all major city matters, and sets city-wide priorities and policies. The City Manager then implements these priorities and policies.
Overall, the Millbrae City Council plays a critical role in shaping the future of the city and ensuring that it remains a vibrant and thriving community for its residents and businesses.
City Council Meetings
The City Council meets twice a month (second and fourth Tuesday of the month) at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers and schedules special meetings as needed.

Since its adoption, the City Council has revised the Protocols several times and will continue to update them as deemed necessary. The most recent update to the Protocols was in March 2015.
