Language Access

Language Access Plan

The City of Millbrae aims to ensure that all community members can access city services regardless of language barriers. The plan includes some of the following:

  • City website: The city's website has a feature on the bottom left of the home screen that allows users to select their preferred written language.
  • City counter:  At the City counters, a placard will be displayed indicating the availability of interpreting services. If you require assistance in a language other than English, you can simply point to your preferred spoken language on the placard. City staff will then contact the interpreter service to help facilitate communication and assist you with your needs.

Language and Special Assistance for Public Meetings

Any attendees who require special assistance, a disability-related modification, or language assistance in order to participate in a publicly noticed meeting should contact the City Clerk's Office at 650-259-2414. Notification 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to the meeting.
