City of Millbrae Community Update - Taylor Middle School Drop-Off / Pick-Up Areas

Taylor Middle School Drop-Off / Pick-Up Areas

MILLBRAE, CA – The City of Millbrae has been collaborating with the Millbrae School District to ensure that your student(s) can be safely dropped off and picked up.

This year the Millbrae School District is implementing two new student drop-off/pick-up areas to help better facilitate traffic flow around the school and increase safety.  These areas are located off of Taylor Boulevard and Richmond Drive.  Signs to direct you to these drop-off/pick-up areas have been installed to help guide you. Drop-offs will no longer be permitted in the Millbrae Recreation Center Parking Lot.

For drop-off/pick-up in front of Taylor Middle School, the entrance is the driveway located to the west of the main school building on Taylor Boulevard.

For drop-off/pick-up in the rear of Taylor Middle School, the entrance is the driveway to the Millbrae School District office located on Richmond Drive.  Please see the maps below.

Please refrain from making U-turns in front of Taylor Middle School and from dropping off your student(s) in the Millbrae Recreation Center Parking Lot. Although the Millbrae Recreation Center's proximity to the school might seem convenient for some parents, the increased number of vehicles during peak hours creates a chaotic and unsafe environment for both students and Recreation Center patrons.

The City recommends students be dropped off at the designated drop-off zones located off of Taylor Boulevard, west of the Taylor Middle School building, or off of Richmond Drive in front of the Millbrae School District Office. These areas are specifically designed to handle the volume of traffic associated with school activities and are equipped with the necessary safety measures to protect the students.

Thank you for your cooperation.  Have a safe school year!!
