[ARCHIVED] Storm Information and Resources

Logo Placeholder

As we enter the winter storm season, we want to remind Millbrae residents of a few safety precautions and essential numbers for your reference.

Please be sure to visit our Storm Preparedness Webpage for a full list of ways to prepare and stay safe during the storms and a list of resources available to our community.

Please limit your travel for your own safety in the next few days and be mindful of standing water. NEVER drive on flooded roads. Six inches is enough water for you to lose control of your vehicle if you encounter flood waters on roadways, turn around, and find alternate routes.

Millbrae residents can get sandbags at our sandbag filling station on Millbrae Avenue between Palm and Hazel. We are restocking sand regularly, so if we run out, we will get more! You can also call Millbrae Public Works at 650-259-2339. Please be mindful of your neighbors and only take what you need so we have enough for everyone in need within our community.

Sign up for the San Mateo County's Alert system to receive important emergency updates or safety alerts.

Know Your Zone. Zonehaven provides the community with critical evacuation updates, resources, and the latest updates on active incidents. Visit www.ZoneHaven.com to learn more.

To monitor for power outages in your area, please visit https://pgealerts.alerts.pge.com/outagecenter/. For other PG&E-related emergencies, please call 1-800-745-5000.

For all emergency after-hours water, street, sewer, and storm concerns, please call 650-363-4951. We want you to be safe. Please use 9-1-1 only for police, fire, and medical emergencies that impact life and safety so the system isn’t overwhelmed. People should also call 9-1-1 for downed power lines and gas leaks.
