The Millbrae Police Bureau, Millbrae Recreation Department, in cooperation with the County of San Mateo, have developed the Graffiti Abatement Program. The program includes a painter from the county with help from the Sheriffs Work Crew Program. Abatement techniques include painting over the entire area (fence, wall, etc.), spot painting, chemical removal, power washing, or a combination of these techniques. Recycled paint is used whenever possible for these applications. All painting is color matched on location to the existing surface to ensure restoration of the site to its original appearance.
