Citywide Repairs and Improvements - Minor Disruptions Expected

Post Date:11/01/2016 3:39 PM

Dear Millbrae Neighbors and Business Owners,

Beginning in November, the City of Millbrae, will be making streetscape improvements in your neighborhood. This project will consist of repairing buckled sidewalk, replacing dilapidated newspaper racks, replacing street trees, installing tree grates, replacing benches, installing modern planters, installing interesting bike racks, installation of a parklet, and last but not least, installing the new Millbrae logo on the pavement at the intersection of Hillcrest and Broadway.

The biggest disruption will come from the installation of Millbrae logo at the Hillcrest/Broadway intersection. The intersection will have to be closed down for this process for up to two days. This is scheduled between November 7th and 9th pending weather conditions. Traffic will be detoured and some parking may be displaced during this installation. Otherwise during the construction period, parking on some areas will be restricted and access to driveways may be interrupted for short intervals. No parking signs will be posted at least 48 hours in advance at areas affected by the construction activities. You will receive additional notifications when driveway access will be interrupted. Also, please expect traffic delay at times. As with all construction, please drive slowly and safely and pay close attention to traffic control warning signs and traffic safety personnel.

If you have questions please contact the Project Manager, Peter V at (415) 271-7539.
