UPDATE - Millbrae Community Center Fire

On Thursday, July 21, at 3:52 a.m., the Central County Fire Department was dispatched in response to a fire at the Millbrae Community Center located at 477 Lincoln Circle. At this time the fire has been contained, but all administrative and recreation services at the site have been temporarily suspended.

Anyone that is scheduled to attend meetings or events at the Center or Central Park is advised to stay away from the site as it’s an active fire scene. Millbrae Youth Camps have been moved to the Caroline Shea Center at Taylor Middle School (850 Taylor Boulevard, Millbrae, CA).

 

*** Update – Thursday, July 21, at 12:20 p.m. ***

1 p.m. press conference with Central County Fire Chief John Kammeyer. Press conference will be held in the vicinity of the community center.

Tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., the Millbrae City Council will host a community awareness meeting to address the fire and next steps. It will be held at City Hall. Fire Chief Kammeyer will also speak during the meeting.
