Victoria Avenue/El Camino Real Signalization Project
The City has begun work to install a new traffic signal on El Camino Real at Victoria Avenue. The purpose of this new traffic signal is to provide a safe pedestrian path between Millbrae’s downtown and the Millbrae/BART Intermodal Transit Station. The work will take about 3 months to complete. The work will require lane closures at times on the El Camino Real.

Additional Streetlight Installations
The City will also be installing additional streetlights on the El Camino Real near the pedestrian crosswalks at Millwood Avenue and Ludeman Lane. The new streetlight poles have been ordered. This work should be completed in August.

San Francisco Water Department Construction
The San Francisco Water Department has completed their construction in Millbrae required to improve their 60” water main which runs under the west side of the El Camino Real from Burlingame to the San Francisco Water Department maintenance yard near OSH and the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant. This work caused frequent lane closures of the southbound slow lane on El Camino Real between the intersections of Taylor Boulevard and Victoria Avenue over the past several months. This work has now moved to the El Camino Real in Burlingame. The final paving of the construction work areas in Millbrae on the El Camino Real will likely be completed this fall.
