Vice Mayor's Employee Service Recognition Luncheon
Today, Vice Mayor Reuben Holober hosted a special Employee Service Recognition Luncheon to honor the men and women who work each day to ensure Millbrae is a thriving community. Two employees in public works were honored for their milestone anniversaries.
Chris Falzon has worked for the City of Millbrae for five years. Chris currently serves as a senior maintenance worker in our Public Works Storms Division, but started with the City in the Collections Division. In his current role, he maintains our storm system, and its many miles of pipelines. He is responsible for our trash capture devices along our storm water systems, storm pump stations, and storm drains. Through his work, Chris has applied his knowledge as a water pollution prevention specialist, backhoe operator, and pipeline assessment specialist to keeping our storm system in good condition. Ultimately, his role is critical in keeping our canals, creeks and the Bay clean.
John Roias has served the City of Millbrae for 15 years. He started off in our Streets Division but then quickly moved to the Collections Division where his career has since blossomed. John is currently the Collections Division crew senior and has shared his vast experience in training and guiding our crew members. John has completed many complex sewer excavations and responded to many sewer, storm and water department emergencies. His experience and leadership has put him in a position of great responsibility as he inspects the work of City contractors and coordinates repair and maintenance work of the Collections Division.
