City Council Meeting Recap for October 9, 2018
On Tuesday, October 9, the Millbrae City Council hosted its first meeting of the month.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the Millbrae City Council received its annual report from Central County Fire Department. Last year, Fire Station 37 responded to 2,501 calls for service. Fire Station 38 responded to 440 calls for service.
Central County Fire Department also presented an award to its annual Fire Prevention Month School Contest winner. This year, Meghan Gallagher from St. Dunstan won the contest for her work inspecting her home’s fire safety and practicing fire preparedness with her family.
By a 5-0 vote, the City Council unanimously approved the following consent items:
- Item 5 - Resolution accepting the emergency concrete repair at Cowan Canal as complete and filing notice of completion
- Item 6 - Resolution waiving its competitive solicitation requirements for design and construction support services on the 2019 Larkspur Drive Pavement Project and awarding a professional service agreement to Pavement Engineering Inc.
