San Mateo Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Millbrae Burglar
Sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning (8/20-21/18), a vehicle was burglarized at the Dylan Hotel in Millbrae (110 South El Camino Real) and approximately $20,000 worth of belongings were stolen.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office has had numerous reports of cars being broken into at this location. Thankfully the hotel caught the crime on camera and the Sheriff’s Office compiled a “Be on the lookout flyer” from the images.
Sheriff’s deputies were at the Lucky’s in Millbrae investigating a possible theft from that store when the astute deputies realized the two suspects in that case were the same suspects who matched the people seen in the video surveillance from the Dylan Hotel. Upon speaking with those people, it was determined that they were one in the same, and they were arrested.
Luis Celis, a 30-year-old male from San Mateo, was booked into the Maguire Jail on auto burglary charges. Nina Barry, a 29-year-old female from San Mateo, was released from the scene to care for their child and her charges were forwarded to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
