Town Hall Meeting: Millbrae’s New Airbnb Law and How It Impacts You

Post Date:08/09/2018 12:57 PM

Recently, the City adopted an ordinance mandating that short-term rental host who use services like Airbnb and VRBO establish themselves as local businesses, and adhere to strict laws that protect the health and safety of our community.

Join us on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, for a town hall meeting to learn about the law that was enacted by the City Council and how it works. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. in the Chetcuti Community Room.

During the meeting, topics that will be covered include:

  • Requirements for Operation
  • Business Compliance
  • Neighborhood Wellbeing and Safety
  • Reporting Violations and Nuisance

For those who can’t make the Wednesday meeting, a second town hall will be hosted on Saturday, August 25, 2018, in the Millbrae Library – Rooms A & B. The Saturday meeting will start at 10 a.m.

If you have questions about the upcoming town hall meeting or the law, please contact the City’s Community Development Department at (650) 259-2341.
