Get Us Moving Millbrae!
San Mateo County is a great place to live, but each year our population grows. In fact, by 2040, the County’s population is expected to grow by more than 24%. That's more than 180,000 additional people; most of whom will use our public transit systems and drive on our roads.
On Tuesday, February 13, San Mateo County officials will be in Millbrae to give a special presentation to the City Council. The presentation will spotlight Get Us Moving, a public outreach campaign focused on getting input from San Mateo County residents on problem areas, travel routes you use, and where you see the greatest opportunities to make these transportation investments a success.
But before then, we are asking all residents to take an online survey to answer specific questions the San Mateo County Transit District has. Please click on the link below and take the survey:
In addition to the online survey and the special presentation to the Millbrae City Council, San Mateo County scheduled four community meetings to tell you more about their plans and get your feedback in open dialogue discussions. There was a meeting in San Mateo last week and a meeting in Pacficia on Thursday. Below are the dates and locations of upcoming public meetings:
Menlo Park – Thurs. Feb 15, 6:30 p.m.
Ballroom, Menlo Park Senior Center, 110 Terminal Ave, Menlo Park
South San Francisco – Thurs. Feb. 22, 6:30 p.m.
Council Chambers, Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Dr., South San Francisco
We are working for your future, and hope you will take this opportunity to help develop a transportation plan that best meets your needs and concerns. Get Us Moving is led by the San Mateo County Transit District, San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, SamTrans and CalTrain, with help from local cities and other community partners.
