Administration & Engineering

The responsibilities of the Public Works Administration and Engineering division include:

• overall management of all Public Works divisions
• providing professional engineering services to plan, design, survey and inspect public improvements
• checking plans for private development to ensure compliance with City ordinances
• conducting traffic studies
• managing City infrastructure construction projects and Bid and Proposal Listings
• responding to public inquiries and requests regarding infrastructure, recorded subdivision and parcel data
• Transportation System Management (TSM), includes Spare the Air, RIDES, and Guaranteed Ride Home
• managing Garage, Water, Sanitation and Storm Drain Enterprise funds
• updating Public Works Standards
• overseeing Public Works General Conditions of Approval for construction projects
• administering the City's stormwater program
• implementing the Urban Water Management Plan and Memorandum of Understanding regarding Urban Water Conservation Best Management Practices
• Testing Sanitary Sewer Lateral Upon Transfer of Ownership
• Insurance requirements

Public Works/Engineering Counter Hours:                           
Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Closed from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
(Encroachment Permits are issued from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm only.)
