Tourism Committee

The Millbrae Tourism Committee consists of members appointed by the City Council, who represent each of the motel/hotels within the City of Millbrae.  The roster also includes representation from the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce and the San Mateo County/Silicon Valley Convention and Visitor's Bureau.  The members serve for a term of one year and continue until their respective successors are appointed. Members serve without compensation and cannot hold any other public office or position in the City while serving as members of the Committee.

The Tourism Committee holds at least on regular meeting in each calendar year.

Duties of the Tourism Committee are as follows:

1. To advise the City Council on all matters affecting or related to tourism;

2. To make recommendations annually on the use of monies proposed for appropriation by the City Council for promotion of tourism, and

3. To exercise such other functions as may be prescribed by the City Council.

The Committee holds at least one regular meeting in each calendar year.
